What is the definition of a race addict? I don't think I am addicted to racing, I just want to see my friends. It seems that this is the easiest way. I still plan on toning it down for next year, but I know I won't be able to say, "no", to these fun races with friends. Especially the friends I only get to see once a year.
Mr. RWM will come with me and the kids will be with my parents. Kids are psyched for that. I can't really say what I plan to do, race it or not. I think I will just see how I feel in the morning and take Diane's lead. Plus, I know nothing about the course.
The last several runs have all been good. No pressure runs. Today, the fog was killer but it was fun to run in. It got hot and I was dressed to warm. Hoping it stays warm the next couple days. I have new shorts from Skirt Sports that I want to try out.

So tell me, how many races do you typically run a year? How do you choose what ones you want to do?

I can't stop entering little races either-my friends keep talking me into it. Peer pressure :)
ReplyDeleteYes, the peer pressure is what does it!
DeleteBetween local and travel I do over 75 a year. :)
ReplyDeleteI know! It is hard to keep up with you and your races. LOL
DeleteDid you see the 39.3 series? 3 halfs for $75? Perfect for feeding the addiction in 2015!
ReplyDeleteI ran the RI Triple crown this year, which was also three half marathons. It cost $150 though!
DeleteI am a total race addict too! Just can't get enough! Congrats on being a Skirt Ambassador. I am so excited to get to know you and the other Ambassadors!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Congrats to you too!
DeleteNot too many... compared to most. :) Though, for me, 2014 was a "busy" year:
ReplyDeleteThree 5Ks
One 10K
Three Halfs
One Marathon (not yet done)
One marathon team relay
By comparison, in 2013, I did four 5Ks & one 5 miler. :)
Wow, sounds like a great year! What marathon are you doing?
DeleteI was about to say I was having an off year of racing but realized that I'm about to run my 17th race on Sunday and I have two more scheduled. Plus I have the Goofy Challenge looming in January -- at least they count for the new year!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great year to me!
DeleteRunning is a good addiction to have and races seem to fit right along with that =) Looking forward to reading about your future races!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right! Thank you!
DeleteI've done 16 half marathons + one ragnar already this year, with one 5k and a half left. Next year is already looking like 8 half marathons, 2 Ragnars, 1 17.75K, + 1 marathon. Umm, guess I'm as bad as you are LOL.
