I was tagged by Lisa Runs For Cupcakes to do the Another Mother Runner 10 Question Game.
So here goes!
Best Run Ever: Well, I went back and forth on this one, but I have to say it was my graduation run form the C25K program. Not only was it such an accomplishment for me because at times I didn't think it would happen, but it fell on my girls weekend in Nantucket. It was such a beautiful weekend and I was there with some of the best friends I have who all ran with me. It was such a fun run that I was able to share with the people who encouraged me to run in the first place.
Three words to describe my running: peaceful, happy, challenging
My go to run outfit: I really don't have a specific outfit that I go to. I love so many different things. I love my Asics, my run like a mother tank and my Women Run tech shirts.
Quirky habit while I am running: Yeah, right like am going to tell you that. LOL I actually play air drums when I am really feeling my groove and a rocking song comes on.
Morning, midday or evening runner? I prefer midday, but do most of them in the morning because of time.
I won''t run outside when: I won't run when it is icy or in the dark.
Worst injury and how I got over it: I have degenerative disc disease and for a while I couldn't even stand up straight let alone run. PT and tons of core work is what got me back on track. I still keep up with the core work.
I felt most like a badass mother runner when? For me, it was the first time I ran 10 miles. I felt like superman when I was done and when I think about it, I still smile.
My next race is: The Ocean's Run Half Marathon, this coming Sunday, September 23. It will be my first half marathon and I am nervous and excited. I can't wait to put that sticker on my car!
Potential running goals for 2013? Well, I would really love to do a Rock and Roll half, probably Philly or Providence or both. Beyond that, not sure.
And I will tag...

ReplyDeleteI'm putting mine up later this week...it's fun to read your answers! Can't wait to hear about Sunday- I'll be thinking of you. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job... midday runs are really good when you can squeeze them in. You aren't tired in the morning and you aren't feeling burnt out by end of day.
